Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) has been floating to the near top of the polls in the first presidential primary state of New Hampshire thanks to a massive ad campaign and a fairly successful debate performance. Despite this momentum he decided to turn off many Republican primary voters and come out as a liberal on immigration.

In an interview with CNN over the weekend, Kasich endorsed permanent residency for illegal immigrants without a criminal record.
Kasich also touted Ohio’s program that gives driver licenses to “DREAMers.” John Kasich comes out as a liberal on immigration - Red Alert Politics
Why is every repub named John trying to sell us out

That did it for me. He was my go to man, but I can't see rewarding illegals running across the border. He's out.

He's sensible. He is in. He can beat any of the Dems, including HRC, straight up. Walker can't. Bush may if he has Kasich as VP candidate.

Kasich should drop out now. He has no chance of winning the nomination or even being on the ticket. He belonged in the first debate with Graham and Perry.

Is the poll you're referring to the Franklin-Pierce poll? If so, it is not a poll to be taken seriously. It is run by Andy Card who has deep ties with the establishment GOP and the Bush family. This poll also has Jeb Bush holding steady at 13%. John Kasich is a RINO from the same wing as the Bush family. This is the grooming of another RINO so if they realize trying to force Bush on us isn't going to work, they have the same guy in Kasich.
