As for the documents matter, Trump's "crime" can be seen in the context of the following parable: A wealthy many owns a department store...owns it outright, including everything in it. Giving a fourth of July party, he goes into the store while it's closed, and gathers a couple carts full of furnishings, and takes them home for the party. On August 1st, he sells the entire enterprise to another investor - store and contents.

The buyer seeks to have the seller charged with shoplifting, pay for the goods taken on July 4th, and sent to jail. Ridiculous, isn't it? He OWNED the stuff when it was taken.

The Biden alternative tale is that it is an employee of the store who takes the goods and removes them. He did not own the goods, nor did he have any right, even as an employee, to take them home. Biden STOLE the goods; Trump took what he had a right to declassify or take.

If you have a clearance and handle classified information don’t treat it negligently or take it home with you.

This ghost writer had no security clearance to hear classified information.

Revealing classified info to someone without a clearance is against the law and even if they have a clearance they have to have a need to know.
