Decades ago when South Africa was ruled by an apartheid government. There was a world wide boycott and trade embargo against that government
The only democratic country that didn't join the international boycott was Israel, who still sold weapons and military equipment to the apartheid S.A. government.
Black people in South Africa still remember that and hold a grudge toward Israel.
