Not sure. I haven't done deadlines or assignments since the 1990's.

Correct .
I make hand written lists almost every single day which become intents which cannot be broken .Takes2/3 minutes maximum .
Like most things , it is about establishing a sensible routine which becomes second nature .
imho .
Then, if you are smart and successful, you employ others , letting them know that failure in achieving delegated matters is not an option .
