Has anyone else grown tired of the escalation in name-calling and vitriol replacing civility, mature discussion, disagreements or disputes? All sides have guilty parties – it’s not just one or the other.
It would make this board much more enjoyable if we could retire the exhausted labels of idiot, moron, stupid, retard, ____tard, etc. For those who must resort to childish insults regarding mental capacity, you may want to use a spelling and grammar check first because most of those judgmental responses are fraught with errors, making them hilariously ironic.

seriously though heres the gist of how I see it.
When I first started out in this internets world (series of tubes) I insulted no one.
I tried very hard to be civil yet state the facts.
I was lumped right in with everyone who called names.
The poster Immie like ten years ago acused me of being uncivil and I told him to go check my every post for an insult.
He could find none.
Of course ten years later he says he doesnt remember the incident but that is jsut the continuation of the problem.
I at that point realised cussing and calling names was part of the deal oif no one is willing to give credit for civility.
I love to make up insult names so its fun.
I have since spent two seperate years using no invective.
The forst time was at a site that is owned by Gunnys brother( gunny was a ficture here once).
They banned me because it drove them bat shit insane and they are full of hate.
Then after the Dem in Arizona got a bullet injected into her head after the republicans called for "second amendment remedies" to not winning elections I did a civility experiment for nearly a full year.
Guess what those years of civility got me?
Not one ******* thing.
I was treated WORSE by people on the right because I was seen as weak.
They thought calling me things lile **** would scare me.
The people on the FAR right in this country are not sane.
They are not fair.
they are not civil
they are not smart
they are not trustable
they are not an asset
they are a anchor dragging the bottom of the ocean trying to stop the world from changing for the better.

Now why am I supposed to stay civil with people like that when its proven they will NEVER be civil themselves.
I spent YEARS trying to get them to be civil.
It is not going to happen.
