Socialist are hypocrites

Some of us got over that years ago. But I agree I was one of those people once. It's drummed into us early on. In the 50's it was called keeping up with the Joneses. Subliminal messages were flashed on the screen to buy this or that product. Maybe the downturn in the economy the last several years has made people realize they don't need all this materialism to lead a happy, contented life.

Self worth?

In america our sense of self worth is highly materialistic.
Self worth is determined by how much money you have, how big is your home, Vehicles, etc.

This has been programmed into us by corporations for decades.

Naah the deconomic downturn has had little effect on people buying their self esteem.
It will pretty much take a generation or two to change that around.

Our society/ecoomy is so much based on waste that if people only bought what they needed our economy would crash hard.

It's interesting that BigReb can not understand the difference between 'sharing' and 'stealing'.

I guess he didn't play well with others.

I'm not a Socialist and don't see a lot of value in Socialism, but I think it's good to be honest about what it is and what it is not.

It's stealing when you take from those unwilling to give it. But if you're ever robbed don't be a hypocrite and call the cops and try to get your things back.

They want other who have to give to others who don't have. If they don't get what they want, they'll turn to the government to enforce their wants on others. I call that legalized theft.
Now why do I call socialist hypocrites? What is the first thing they do when someone breaks in their home and steals there Blue ray, or their 54 HDTV, OR THEIR STEREO? They call the cops to try and get back what is theirs. If they were good little socialist they would be happy they someone has the good things in life and move on, but no they want their stuff back.
