But ever since the government has been given back to the people (where the responsibility for the infrastructure is on them) now they want the US to re-establish the provisional authority the minute the power goes out. War crimes my ass. The US's main role in Iraq is providing security and handing out funds for rebuilding. The Iraqis can terminate any contract with any company and bring in any people of their choosing to fix their water whenever they want.

Seems kind of contradictive for the people to say that we're responsible for giving them water and fixing their power grids while at the same time saying that we should immediately pull out.
