So You Think America Began As A Christian Nation??

Unfortunately for you, none of the writings any of them made have any bearing on our laws. The constitution is what counts, and whether any of the founding fathers were Christians or not doesn't matter.

Where did I say Christian? I said freedom of religion.

You won't find 100% who agree on everything, but the right wingers running the party, and in positions of power are certainly advocating uneven treatment of religions.

...and a fair percentage of liberals seem bent on eliminating religion from any public view.

Is there a law that says they aren't allowed to do that? Do you oppose them on a legal basis, or on a religious basis?

Only the Constitution
So you think we should ignore what was put in the constitution, and is the law of the land, or ignore that and try to interpret a bunch of quotes to determine our laws? If the founding fathers really felt so strongly about the things you list, why do you think they left them out of the constitution?

They do not leave freedom of religion out of the Constitution. They wisely left out a specific national religion. The separation of church and state gets used for convenience sake by liberals these days. Hardly what the Founders or religious citizens consider reasonable today.

And the other false half of the political system pushes for a specific national religion.

Link to 100% of conservatives wanting a national religion...

This might be a good time to practice your relaxation breathing exercises.

The atheist and the Christian have the same right of civil liberty to believe as they wish.

For now.

Part of the problem is that americans have been conditioned to believe they have rights. We don't, we have privliges which can be withdrawn at any time. Japanese americans learned that during WWII. More of us will come to know with the advent of private prisons and the return to convict leasing.

You sound scared. Of what: the Christians coming to make you harvest tomatoes.
