Well ... I don't want to pat myself on the back but when everyone was calling Trump a hero for bombing "drug boats" I was saying that he actually wants the oil and natural resources. Of course, I took a ton of flack for that (surprise, surprise). How dare I question the noble actions of Czar Trump? The most honest and conservative CONMAN on planet earth?

I think oil is a big part of this aggression toward Venezuela, but I think there are other issues at play too. The world is polarizing into two opposing camps, and many countries in central and southern America are not in the US camp. Venezuela being one of them. The theme I see going around the geopolitical discussions is breaking down the will of the stronger players before the war starts, like with Russia and Iran. Venezuela seems to be current on the list. Is it any coincidence that these 3 are also big players in the oil game? People don't like to admit it, or face it, but another world war is getting closer.
