'So little planning': Experts mock Trump after Mexico refuses to let deportation flight land

Let them. Chinese tinkertoys compared to a USAF stealth F-22? Laughable
The point here is that the US will have lost a potential customer. The US enjoys about 40% of the entire world market for military weapons and China has 6%. That's a huge weakness, risk for the US.

As Trump pisses on all these trading partners you can expect China to move in, make deals, build relationships and so on.

Trump is doing damage and he's only be in office one week. A small percentage change toward China would likely cost jobs here in the United States. I tell you, the Chinese are watching this and laughing all the way to the bank.

‘On Friday, NBC News found that Mexico refused a U.S. military plane access to its airspace when flying migrants to Guatemala. And as American Immigration Council senior fellow Aaron Reichlin-Melnick noted, another Central American country appears to have also not allowed the United States to fly over its airspace, given the flight's unusually circuitous route.

"This deportation flight had to go all the way around the Yucatan first, and then it went through Costa Rica, suggesting Honduras may also have denied permission," Reichlin-Melnick posted to Bluesky. He observed that countries declining to accommodate the U.S. by granting it access to its airspace could be a result of them perceiving his use of military C-130 planes "as an insult."

As Virginia Commonwealth University associate political science professor Michael Paarlberg wrote on Bluesky, carrying out deportations requires both the country deporting migrants and the country accepting them to coordinate. And as the Washington Post reported in December, countries refusing to cooperate with Trump could throw a wrench in the gears of his mass deportation plans.’

More ham-fisted political theater, a display of true incompetence, and a waste of tax dollars.
So, no criticism of the Mexican government for refusing to take it's own people?

I guess that's the American left for you. The U.S. is wrong not to take every murderer and rapist who wants to murder, rape, and also be able to send their kids to U.S. public schools, but Mexico is fine for not taking it's own citizens.

Pwn! Pwn! In Donald Trump's FACE!

It is truly a sickness.

C_C_J,
We are seeing the shift to ISOLATIONISM. With this in mind, I advise ALL of you to never step into Mexico again. You should fear for your life.
You voted for this. Stay in the USA. You are going to see the leaders and population from all of these countries HATE the USA and hate the US citizens for electing Trump. Prepare yourself for attacks when you are on vacation.

So your argument is that people from other nations are so violent, our own people can expect to be attacked? Sounds like deporting these people is exactly the right move to make after all if they're so hateful and violent.

Is another September 11 out of the question?

Isn’t amazing when we have an Alpha Male for President, we can get what we want?

Lol, ain't if funny that these countries are making it difficult for us to give them their people back...why don't they want them back?

That's ok! If they don't want their citizens back then there is no need for us to send them any more aid every year.

You tell me

Is this the bulk of your argument? You ask an unrelated question and then double down on it as if it's somehow intellectually superior? You have my deepest sympathies if you take that as a sign of intelligence but it really isn't.

Either those citizens are dangerous like you claimed and need to stay out of America in general, or those here illegally are dangerous and need to be deported. Either way, we're justified in removing them from this nation.

Mexico and Colombia refusing to take people back??? How is US the villain? If the US refuses citizens coming back, would that be OK?

Trumps actions fuel Anti-Americanism.

"Experts" mock the President of the United States but not the Mexican regime. It goes to the heart of the left wing ideology. The same "experts" that told Americans that Hunter's laptop was "Russian disinformation"?

Watch what Trump does to any country that doesn't cooperate in deportations. Want an example? Look at Columbia! Trump isn't playing. If those countries think they can empty their prisons and send them to the US...they have another thing coming!

“Experts” . You’re funny.

Was it fake news or did mexico just quicky cave?
They caved.... The rejection of the flight was based on lack of communication and security concerns not politics or refusal to accept deportees. As is usually the case the MSM distorted the entire issue. They look like jackasses again.
