So, Let Me Get This Straight, The Laken Riley Act Is Just About Imprisoning Illegal Immigrants?

And imprisoning them for their crimes? I thought that there was more to it but apparently that's it. They just get prison time for abusing/raping people and or murdering them. What a concept!

.

I thought so too. Capital punishment for the murder of any American citizen by anyone in this country illegally..

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............. I think he ought to be confronted about this.

I swear as soon as I saw this act I immediately thought of this towards the dims:

Road Runner, I've been having a thought about this, and trying to find some optimism in what we're talking about.

As a Catholic, I pray every day for the conversion of President Trump and do not fail to notice how he brings Catholicism into his persona in subtle ways. As far as I know, Melania is a Catholic. He gave a lot of attention to Schubert's "Ave Maria", having it played and sung at his rallies and on his inauguration. I'm convinced he was given a statue of St. Michael, a very protective patron, and he posted the St. Michael prayer on the Saint's feast day. He has a Catholic VP.

On one of the feast says of The Blessed Virgin, if I'm not mistaken, he posted a "Happy Birthday Mary" on TruthSocial. I think it was on one of the days Catholics observe the Nativity of Mary. Detractors whine about how what he posted was an image of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, which they don't believe was an image of Mary, but we Catholics believe that image WAS the Blessed Virgin as she appeared to St. Juan Diego in 1531. It might be that President Trump's post was on Dec 9th, on the Feast Day Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, which would be a slight gaffe on the President's part, which I would have likely made during the ignorant period of my catechesis (Catholic teaching)

I just wonder if he is preparing to be confirmed a Catholic.

Most traditional Catholics believe in the sanctity of all life, including in the issue of capital punishment, and so do not support it. I've struggled with this for a while, because I've always believed that capital punishment is right in certain cases, but now I must rethink it. My priest lets us know frequently what our duty as Catholics is.

So Maybe President Trump started out being accepting of capital punishment, but maybe is now being catechized in preparation for conversion, and is re-thinking his stance.

As I said, I pray for his conversion every day. It's been many decades since we've had a Catholic president.

Only two lefties responded to this thread so far. I bet they're mostly feeling like idiots right about now.

If illegals aren't under the jurisdiction of the United States...

..... ..... ..... ..... How can they be charged with crimes and sent to prison? Someone has to be under the jurisdiction to be charged.
