But what if...just WHAT IF Trump didn't trust gaetz & wanted him out of congress?

Trump could offer him the AG appointment...then "suggest" he resign from congress to get a new rep in there ASAP.

Then tell Gaetz to step down because he doesn't have the votes to confirm him.

Gaetz would be out of the house...out of the cabinet...and as long as desantis doesn't give him rubios old seat...he's out of gov't completely (which is the case right now).

Might this have been a ploy to get rid of gaetz?

Different session of Congress. Can go back, if they will seat him. Suspect the report would be released in that event. It was the Republican House, that was investigating, and the report is probably not favorable of Gaetz and his ethics, even by Republican standards.

He resigned the previous term. He can still take his seat for the next.
