As you all know, the House ethics committee voted to release their report on Matt Gaetz.
Gaetz is not taking it lying down. If the dirt on him is going to be public, he's going to do his best to expose the dirt on his former fellow members of Congress, including going so far to assume office in January since he was re-relected before he resigned.
He will use the powers of the office to file a resolution make public “each settlement of a complaint filed against the office of a Member of the House under the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 that provides for the payment of funds which was approved by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee during any Congress.”
Yes, folks, there is a taxpayer-funded congressional slush fund used to pay off the accusers of members of Congress of sexual impropriety
Gaetz then promises to re-resign upon passage of his resolution.
Anyone want to guess the odds of the members of the House voting in favor of releasing a report of their sexual misconduct?
And you thought the drama the first time the Republicans had a majority was something. This raises it to a whole new level.
Good times are a-comin'!
Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has always been Gaetz's butt buddy, has signed onto the cause, so even if Gaetz fails to assume office again, she's the backup plan.
