And the reason to close schools (if they close) is two fold. 1) virtual learning as crappy as it is, is better than some kids dying who wouldn't otherwise die, and 2) - and more importantly from a total societal view - closing schools makes covid trasmission less likely, and regardless of a few kids' deaths, the goal is to lessen how much hosptial and ICU capacity covid requires, because that capaicity is finite, and already scarce without covid.

Kids are committing suicide at an alarming rate due to being in lockdown. The worthless video learning they're doing is causing them to fall behind kids actually in school. These are deep scars they will carry all their lives for no reason whatsoever.
