Probably. But this isn't the only issue where Trumpsters favor big government. They've pretty much given up on conservative inconveniences like limited government or free markets. It's all about nationalism with these goons.
/——/ We haven’t given up on anything. That’s just you lashing out.
Lashing? Does 'lashing' mean pointing out blatant hypocrisy?
/——/ What hypocrisy?
Where do I start? Pertaining to this thread, is the "about face" conservatives have done on the role of government in the economy. They lose all respect for the free market when it doesn't support their nationalistic goals.
Beyond that, I've been watching - over and over again on this board - Trumpsters arguing for policies and approaches that conservatives have traditionally opposed. They want government regulation to "reign in" corporations who don't support Trump (Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, etc..). They talk about nationalizing them as though it's a reasonable thing. They're embracing social engineering and are eager to use government to force their values on others - just like their Democrat cousins.
To be fair, Democrats and liberals are doing the same hypocrisy dance. You see them defending the rights of businesses to discriminate (when those businesses are discriminating against people they disagree with). Suddenly they care about individual rights and the sanctity of self-ownership, when it comes to abortion.
All in all, it's the same phony shit I've been watching for decades. Republicans have no consistent principles. They just want the power to force their preferences on others. Just like the Democrats.
