Snow Report

Hopefully it keeps snowing so you have time to enjoy it. The older one gets generally the more they enjoy it. I live watching people leave to head south for winter. They just can't handle anything.

That is INsignificant snow. 6 inches of snow is NOTHING. If things shut down over that something is very wrong. What a sad state.

Yeah well, where you live they probably have "heat warnings" at 95 and Southerners would mock the heck out of you for that. So it's all relative, and too easy for people say the other side is "weak".

PS Here in MI we have "heat advisories" for what is just a normal summer day in Alabama or Florida or Georgia.

When people round here leave for down there i always wish they'd never come back. They're soft.

These are the winters I remember as a kid. Snow, lots of it. Cold, single digits and at times sub zero temps. Move along, nothing to see.

So anyone who doesn't like the weather YOU like is "soft".

Okay, go jogging on a Florida summer day. 98 degrees, 100% humidity.

Or wait are you too "soft"?
I'd never go down there. Too many people and ugly landscape. Nope.

Oh heck you probably wouldn't last a week where I live.

No kidding. They closed schools here because it was minus 37. Makes no sense.

What do you care? Do you have kids? Are they in school?
My kids are all 50 years old plus...They themselves only 1 kid amongst the 3 of them. The youngest is freshly divorced and wr cannot be happier about that

I am your kids' ages. When I was in elementary school in the 70s, most moms were home during the day. We can't even count on school kids have proper winter gear now, and can't count on parents not to let their kids walk a mile to school when the temps are so bitter.

That's awesome! Snow is like gold. There's nothing more fun than a raging blizzard.
I agree, I go out on my porch with a good single malt and listen to it coming down.

It's not the cold, it's the 15 to 30 feet of snow we get every year.

I think you're in the mountains right?

I went to Denver with a friend in Sept many years ago. We drove up trail ridge road....glorious. This was about Sept 15th. The week after they shut it down. It had snowed already---road closed.

Now we're talking. I like to hop on the snowmobile and tool around my hunting property.

Yup. Sierra Nevada mountains. You flatlanders have no clue.
