Yea & If the food pantry is empty there's always a soup line, right "Christian"?3 in a one bedroom apartment...….ok....and assuming all 3 work and share expenses????? They should be able to put food on the table without SNAP, but there is still food banks available to fill in
Since the article doesn't say it.....I think it's safe to assume atleast ONE of the 3 are working. Though probably all 3 are, but who knows how many hours (part time or full time?) IF they all are working parttime at minimum wage they only have about $2400 (after taxes) between all of them. And true that in a big city like Chicago, it's damn expensive to live there.
Since atleast the guy in the article is 'able bodied' and currently on SNAP...…..his best bet would be to take advantage of the training & other programs, to help him get a better, full time job while he's still getting SNAP, Same with the other 2 if they are in the same boat. Sure they'll still lose the benefits, but they'll be making more in wages
