i know i gotta sleep twice a day at irregular times, putting me in a completely unpredictable day night rythm cycle for the past decade or so already, which is sustainable only because i'm my own boss.
how about you folks?

I have delayed sleep phase syndrome. I get tired around 3 am. I/2 my family has advanced sleep phase syndrome. They can't stay awake past 9pm, but are up at 4 am all bright-eyed and bushy tailed. I can call all my family members at 4am. Half are going to bed and half are getting up.

my parents live by the book.. they go to sleep around midnight, and wake up around 7 or 8am ;)

Mine did too, because they worked. But retirement allowed for a more natural adjustment to the clock.
Midnight to 7 or 8 am is the normal sleep phase.
Yeah, mine already got skewed to 7pm to 4am sleeping when I was 16 to 18, delivering newspapers between 5am and 6am...

I have a monsoon thunderstorm going on outside tonight... lighting and thunder and heavy rain is now falling... I will sleep like a baby tonight...

I usually only sleep 3-4 hours and I'm refreshed and ready to go. Maybe 6 if I had a really tough day and overworked myself. It's a genetic condition called short sleeper syndrome.

The only time I sleep more than 6 hours is after I stay up for multiple days in a row geeking out on coke/meth.

I work the middle shift, 10-6:30, on weekdays...and usually the opening shift 6:2:30 on weekends.

In bed between 11am and 1am most days.

Up between 4:55am and 5:45am seven days a week, unless there's an anomaly that lets me sleep in, which is maybe once every two weeks, sometimes longer. If that happens, I may stay in bed as late as 10am, but not usually. More like 8:30.

My wife works at 6:30am Mon-Fri, so I'm the one who gets our son up, gives him breakfast and takes him to school by 7:25. When I get back to the house, I clean up and pack my lunch and take a shower before work.

My son gets home by bus around 3pm, and my wife around the same time. She gives him a snack and often they both have an afternoon catnap. I don't get home until around 7:30 or so. She's usually helping him with homework then and I'll fire up dinner and then spend a little time in my studio jamming a bit. We eat and then chill awhile over some mutually chosen You Tube videos, clean up and then get ready for bed.

I get two days off, usually on weekdays. I still have to get my son up for school though. That's why I rarely get to sleep in. My wife and son do on Sat and Sun though. Lucky them. 🤨

I have/had the same problem, I get it straightened out from time to time but then fall back into habits that cause relapse, I am retired so it isn't hard for me to work around, right now I am sleeping on a regular nightly routine but that will probably change.
