The White Sea–Baltic Canal in Russia was built by slave labor during the reign of the Communist murderers. The canal is 141 miles long and was built almost entirely by hand using 126,000 white Christian slaves, 12,000 of whom perished due to the harsh conditions.
The overseers were Jews led by the two Jews, Genrikh Yagoda and Naftaly Frenkel, who were in charge of the project and who sold Stalin on the idea for the canal.
Yagoda
The canal was a public relations success and propelled Yagoda and Frenkel to the upper echelons of Soviet power (Yagoda would go on to head the NKVD, the brutal secret police organ, during which time he was responsible for the slaughter of some ten million white Russian Christians). However, practically, the canal was built too shallow and was unusable by sea-going vessels. It has never played a significant economic role in Russia.
