The Media are doing their best to characterize the personnel cuts in the Federal government as ill-considered, destructive, and harmful to those who legitimately rely on government support in their daily lives.

Here is an essay by RFKJr explaining his approach to the mission, and how it is being done in a way that is intended to keep the legitimate benefits and services going, while trimming the excessive "fat" in the ranks.

I know first hand how difficult it is to manage cuts in the Federal bureaucracy, but it needs to be done, and his approach seems reasonable to me.

Many of these offices contain duplicative and redundant functions, in many cases as the result of pet projects or crises that may have happened 20, 30 or even 40 years ago.

RIF them to the bone.
