Did he veto a spending bill? Has one even been sent to him? Do you even know how the government works? Sounds like you have no clue and just want to vent your impotent TDS rage. Pathetic.Trump is 100% responsible for the shutdown
Explain why the taxpayer should be on the hook for 'non essential' federal employees? So I guess Trump had no choice but to let this happen. There was nothing he could do to save these jobs. It was out of his hands.
Right?
The energy department handles the manufacturing side, not the use. You do know the process of mining, refining, and producing nuclear weapons is very similar to those used to produce fuel for nuclear power plants, of which the Navy has about a hundred on ships, submarines, and training facilities. Leave the production side under the DOE. The DOE doesn't supervise Navy reactors either, just the production of the fuel.Transfer the function to the War Department. If we want to rightsize the government, why not have the manufacturing of weapons under the War Dept? The energy department handles the manufacturing side, not the use. Weapons are controlled by the military. Only nuclear weapons' production is supervised by the DOE.If we want to rightsize the government, why not have the manufacturing of weapons under the War Dept?
The DOE is ultra-liberal, and very wasteful.
The DOE went far-left under the direction of Biden (or more likely, the people running him).Weapons are controlled by the military. Only nuclear weapons' production is supervised by the DOE.
I will wait for evidence of that attitude because I have not seen it.

What does any of that have to do with nuclear weapons? The DOE went far-left under the direction of Biden (or more likely, the people running him).

Beware of Biden’s far-left energy nominees
Days ago, the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources convened a hearing considering three of President Biden’s nominations to lead the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission — a key agency that is responsible for regulating energy projects. This is an unusual circumstance, given that it...www.americanexperiment.org
Let me know when (and if) you ever return to reality. What funding bill did he veto?
You do know how federal legislation works, right?
You didn’t answer my questionLet me know when (and if) you ever return to reality.
Says the Boomer in his nursing home.Non-essential Govt workers, knowing that 1) Trump had said he was going to rightsize the government, and 2) the govt is massively overstaffed should have been looking for a job in the private industry since last November.
The problem is, govt workers don’t want to leave their cushy, overpaid jobs for a private job where they will be paid less (other than the GS15s) and lose amazingly generous fringe benefits, so they decided to remain. Part of that decision may have been a result of decades of being protected from layoffs.
In any event, any loss of jobs - whike stressful - is no worse than that experienced by private workers, and often more than once.
