She might be one of America's greatest OLYMPIC athletes and she'll be more famous than Mary Lou Retton as she should be. She will make millions off this.

Celebrities have to know not everyone is going to love them So they should just be happy people are talking about her.

There is just something about those that do it for love of country and not just millions upon millions of dollars.

The list wasn't in order, and I could probably list more. Either way she's not #1 nor anywhere near it. None of the people on here arguing with me actually believe she's in that spot either.

The list isn't greatest athlete either. It's greatest "sports hero". More than just how good you are at your particular sport goes into that IMO. Biles just hasn't had a "moment" that was really all that memorable to the general public. People who aren't into gymnastics while they might know of her (recognize the name) they probably dont know much of her accomplishments or even seen her perform. I also don't think that the Olympics holds nearly as much importance in the sporting world as it once did. That's why I put Jenner and Retton on there. They were in at their time more "important" to the culture, sports in general etc. than Biles is now. Biles is a great gymnast. Definitely the best US gymnast and maybe the best gymnast ever. She just doesn't transcend the sport in any way. That could be true for any number of reasons but it's, IMO, true.

Simeon Biles is worth 20 million dollars... More power to her for monetizing her tremendous talent but let's not act like these athletes are living on Ramen noodles and living 3 people in a studio apartment.
