Yes to publishing Wonderlic scores = we have the right to know which are college football teams and which are pro football teams disguised as schools

Yes to stopping the NFL from punishing weed smokers - the NFL is better off with Josh Gordon and others on the field, and all Josh did was something 60% of the American people think should be legal

Get rid of Roger Goodell

Just make it two below and drop the gay aspect of the sport..

You know, I saw an episode of "Weediquette" on the VICE channel that was talking about NFL players wanting to be able to use marijuana.

Their arguments made perfect sense. They wanted to be able to use marijuana for muscle strains and joint pain instead of stuff like oxycotin because it was less damaging to their bodies.

And, another benefit is that marijuana isn't physically addictive, but drugs like oxy are.

If you're gonna play in the NFL for any significant amount of time, that could be a huge benefit.

Wonderlic scores? I dunno. Of course they publish every other statistic imaginable. If a fellow has a low IQ I dunno if I want to embarrass him.

Far as the pot tests, the NFL is probably on shaky ground since it is legal in portions of the country. Isn't it still Federally banned though?

Personally I think its funny the idea these boys risk their milti-million dollar contracts for something which supposedly is not addictive.

Yes, it is still federally banned.

However, the reason that the NFL players want to use it is because it's able to take care of their aches and pains as well if not better than the opiates given to them by the trainers, and opiates are physically addictive after prolonged use. Marijuana isn't physically addictive, which is why they want to be able to use it.

And, speaking from experience, a good Indica will do wonders for you if you work out and get sore. Smoke a bit of that before bed, and you'll sleep like a baby and wake up the next morning feeling great.

I do.

I cheer for the Vanderbilt Commodores, a real college football team in a conference filled with pro football teams disguised as schools.

I have the right to know if the guy from the other team who just sacked our QB can read the jersey or not.

That's funny.

FWIW, I despise what professional football programs have done to many colleges. If it were up to me the day before any college game all the players would have to pass a test to prove they are learning anything in class.

Edit: I just don't want to embarrass any individual if that makes sense.

I don't care about Wonderlic scores, it is info we have no need for.

Josh Gordon is a moron, he knows the rules and he chooses to ignore the rules.

All drugs need to be legalized however, if a business chooses a criteria and the employee wants to work there, then he needs to obey the rules.

They want to get high, the whole silly idea that it is to manage pain is silly.

Legalize it and the NFL needs to change its policy to allow a player to take it. To me what is worse, getting hit 50 times in a game or taking weed?

I don't think it the scores of the Wonderlic tests should be released. That is private information. As for the public's "right to know", that is nonsense. The test scores really don't tell you much about the colleges. They might (and that is a big "might") tell you the individual's academic levels. But without a breakdown of how they scored in each section, it is meaningless. Being a pro ball player does not remove your right to privacy.

I think weed should be legal for everyone. Using it for pain relief instead of heavy narcotics is good for anyone.

How about other college students receiving scholarships? Are you going to test them too?

Why do you think you have the right to know that? I've been a fan of Vandy for years. But the assumption that because Vandy is academically at a very high level, the rest of the schools in the conference are only pretending to be college teams is nonsense.

Sure (if we don't already through their grades in their real classes).

I have no issue with that.

The classes the athletes take are not real classes? Wow. Who knew.

When I was in college I had classes with some big athletes. Were they in the wrong class or was I?

Got news for you, marijuana is a really good, non addictive, way to manage pain if you have a good Indica strain. And, if you use the THC enhanced lotions that they have, you can manage it WITHOUT having an altered perception, because it doesn't make you high.

As far as which is worse, getting hit or getting high? Getting hit would be worse.

It's not news to me. You smoke to get high, as you say many other ways to treat the pain with oils and lotions.

With all the damage they do to their bodies playing football, I'm not sure how the NFL can pretend to take the high road and say no pot because it is harmful. It's BS.

You apparently know zero about marijuana. No, I didn't say that there are many other ways, I said that there was ONE, and mentioned the lotion. Out of all the marijuana products that I've seen in CO, there are only 2 that I know of that won't get you high. One is CBD oil, which doesn't have the THC molecules in it but can still be used for various ailments, and the other is THC infused lotion, which can be applied to a specific area, and that is where it stays. Everything else, be it edibles, shatter, wax, flower, hash oil or hash, will get you high.

But, just because it gives you a buzz, doesn't mean that it's not beneficial medically.

Do people who take Oxy do it just to get a buzz too?

I know quite a bit about marijuana, you obviously don't know me.

Most people take marijuana for the same reason that people drink. It is an escape. A minority take it to ease the pain.

Random guessing on the Wonderlic gets a score of 10.

SEC Wonderlic scores

LSU CB Morris Claiborne 4
UF OG Carl Johnson 6

I could go on and on.

Sorry, those kids are not students. They are pro football players disguised as students.

Tell that to all the veterans I've spoken with in CO who say that marijuana helps them more than the drugs the VA puts them on. In many cases, the veterans I've spoken with have been able to go from 10 to 12 pills per day to just one or two with the help of marijuana.

And, tell that to my roomie, who was a long haul truck driver until an accident messed up her back and her joints. She smokes it for pain relief, and I can tell you from personal observation, she does a lot better when she smokes than when she takes pills. Marijuana doesn't do the nasty things to your body like opiates do, one of which is making you constipated.
