Should mental and physical exams be required for presidents?

Ah, self-employed. Congratulations, sincerely. In America, you would already be paying your income taxes on a quarterly basis, so nothing would change.
I'm not self-employed sole trader, I'm self employed through a Limited company as the sole director.

So in the US, the only Federal tax is payroll
Certainly not. Off the top of my head, there are Federal taxes on gasoline(petrol), diesel fuel, alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, tires, large trucks and trailers, firearms, ammunition, and fishing equipment.

Ok, tariffs means duty to the British. This is what gets me, tax the rich, folk need to pay more tax. But they just concentrate on payroll and payroll tax makes up a tiny bit of the tax system.

So because of the way payroll is structured with directories and CEO's etc.. tax on payroll is minimal. If you're employed (UK), the employer takes your tax off and send it to the taxman.

So an idea to link voting to how much someone paid in payroll tax is a no go idea.

In the US, the rich are taxed. The top 1% pay 90% of the Income taxes. Plus they buy expensive stuff so probably pay most of the sales taxes too.

I think recent events have proven that Congress should make such tests a requirement for the presidency.

I seriously believe mental and physical evaluations should be mandatory before and during one's presidency. I'm less concerned about Congress critters - because there are hundreds of them. But there is only ONE president.
