Should I look for something or just wing it?

I’m getting close to 80 years old. I switched from running to cycling in 1983. I was in a bike club for many years, and we raced a lot. I have always worn a helmet but suffered seven concussions in spite- lots of crashes. I don’t seem to be slowing too much mentally but I am slower. I have an underactive Thyroid, but I don’t blame that on cycling. Two of my cycle mates close to my age, have been diagnosed with aortic aneurisms. They had no symptoms. The condition was discovered through unrelated scans. I had to work to stay with these guys. I still ride and so do they. I feel fine but so did they. I wonder if I should look for that.
Aortic aneurisms would likely have zero symptoms. My father-in-law had one and like your friends it was discovered during a scan for other issues.

I have 5 heart stents and never had a chest pain or any symptoms in my life. It was discovered during testing as part of my screening for a liver transplant.

I doubt a doctor would consider screening you for one without some symptoms and most people's first indication they have an aneurysm is when they die.

I am not a doctor, but I do play one on TV.

Actually, at this point in my life, I am a professional patient.

None of us are going to leave here alive.

I feel your pain. I nearly died from peritonitis a few years ago and then from a complete shutdown of my digestive system cause by painkillers in 2023 that had me hospitalized for 3 months. The good thing is that my liver is only 19 years old in this 64-year-old body. I hope you have a good longer life.

You've had seven concussions? I think I would be more worried about brain related problems. No issues cognitively or your walking gait?
