Harris has stated that she wants to crack down on price gouging if she is elected ... so shouldn't she be calling out the state who's regulations have caused prices to soar for consumers in said state ! shouldn't Harris punish the state of California for the outrageous prices its citizens have to pay ? for instance the average price for regular unleaded gas in the State of Mississippi is 2.91 per gal ... while in the gouging state of California the price of regular unleaded gas is 4.52 per gal !

Maybe Kamala will send her Crack Czar out there to get a handle on the problem.

Why is the profits by oil companies so consistently high--in record territory?

They sell a lot of other products besides gas for one. Do you realize how many petroleu mbased products there are?

Secondly, they should not be trying to operate at a loss or breaking even. A good company should always strive for record profits. Supply and demand and costs associated with supply determine price.

if it has one? whtaever do you mean if it has one?
When you buy gas (at least from what I've seen), they don't break down the tax.

I think they should. I think that would be a good idea for President Harris or President Trump--whenever tax is charged on anything--have it itemized.

Sure I do. I lived 4 miles from Refinery Row in Pasadena growing up.

Never said they should.

But it would sure seem that with all of the "belt tightening" that we hear complaints of here, some of that would affect the oil patch. Strange how it doesn't, right?
