Maybe not full blown EU...

There is a Canada EFTA agreement in place... Thought that there is options to increase more cooperation...

EEA is the next step up which is to conform to the rules but not fully join.

Canada and Europe would have issues like hormone in Beef and other standards which Canada adopted from US which EU don't accept... Culturally Canada is more like Europe, make sure safe before selling to consumers rather than sell and prove it is dangerous(US way)...

Also Canada and Europe can have a very mutually beneficial relationship and also understand that both parties must win for a lasting relationship...

I think more Canadian Students in EU universities would be very good as well..

BTW : Majority of Americans supported defending the entire Western Hemisphere against foreign invasion. A 1940 national survey found that 81% supported defending Canada; 75% Mexico and Central America; 69% South America; 66% West Indies; and 59% Greenland.

Canada can definitely increase trade with EU, politically they are far closer to EU Culture and ideals than to the MAGA led US...
