We all know Biden never met with Putin to have talks about ending the war even though Biden and Putin spoke several times before Russia invaded Ukraine .. shouldn't Biden have at least sat down with Putin after the Russian invasion and talked about what it would take to cease hostilities ?

• High-level contacts between the two leaders reportedly stopped after the 2022 invasion.
• In February 2024, the Biden administration dismissed a call by Putin for negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. The administration stated that "Russians need to take the serious offer that we put forward on the table, or make a serious counter-offer to negotiate, but in good faith".

It most likely wouldn't have made any difference. This is clearly a land grab by Russia before the Ukraine became a NATO member. It had nothing to do with who was in the White House in the US. As we noticed trump has no pull with Putin either.
