Should all candidates be required to prove they are citizens?

i think Obama has changed the presidency forever and every official candidate should be required to prove they are citizens of the United States. They should follow obamas example and show everyone their birth certificate or a drivers license. We require that for voting so why not for the people we are voting for? What if this catches on? What if every president has to be a citizen just like Obama? Citizens voting for citizens.
