Shohei leads off with a home run and pitches 5 shutout innings. Ruth never did that.

Cassandro has show he knows very little about baseball and some of that is wrong, too.
What part of my post was wrong?
Ruth swung a 44 oz. bat against slower pitching and batted in front of Lou Gehrig at Yankee Stadium (with a short right field). That being said, he was still the greatest player of his era.
P.S. Replying to your own post is pathetic.

Ohtani continues to fill up the record books. He's the only player in MLB history to pitch and lead off with a home run in the same game. And he's done it twice.
Othani is good

But Babe Ruth is the greatest baseball player of all time

Babe Ruth has the lifetime stats that support him being the GOAT. He played 22 seasons and won 7 championships racked up 714 HRs with a .340 average. Ohtani will likely not reach any of those numbers. What he has proven in 9 seasons is there has never been a player with his combination of power, speed and pitching. He is the ultimate 5 tool player.

Ohtani isn't the GOAT by lifetime stats but he is the BEST all around player the game has ever seen.
