Shhh.... you don't hear what can kill you!

.

Thanks for sharing all of that. It makes me crazy that they can slaughter eagles and other life for $$$.

.
Humans are the biggest threat to bald eagles, with many causes of death including:

  • Lead poisoning
A common cause of death for bald eagles, lead is a neurotoxin that can impair an eagle's ability to fly, hunt, and reproduce. Eagles can get lead from scavenging the remains of animals left by hunters.

  • Habitat loss
Deforestation reduces the number of nesting sites for bald eagles, which prefer to nest in canopies with a good view.

  • Electrocution
Collisions with power lines and electrocution are causes of death for bald eagles.

  • Shotguns and fishing weights
Bullets and shot made of lead are a preventable cause of death for bald eagles.

  • Wind energy
Wind energy can contribute to eagle deaths.

  • Cyanobacteria
A neurotoxin produced by a cyanobacterium can kill eagles. The toxin is spread by boats and migrating birds.

Other causes of death for bald eagles include: Trauma, Exposure to contaminants, and A bounty placed on bald eagles in Alaska between 1917 and 1952

My amateurish interest in music? I've worked in pro sound and physics and have studied at length the field of acoustics (and electromagnetics) and have done my own research as well. I have $200,000 worth of equipment that goes down as deep as possibly 5 Hz, maybe 2 Hz. I know full well the potential impacts of ELF waves you jackass and was supporting what you reported. Never mind the effects of EM fields on the nervous system. But I might also add that just ELF alone isn't the problem but the nature of those frequencies. It isn't that these turbines generate ELF waves but the KIND of waves they produce. You should open your ears for a change and listen to someone who actually knows what he is talking about instead of just some webpage.

Does that explain your handle toob freak, as in amp tubes? Or just a coincidence?

Nope. I am big on audio research and tube (toob) technology, including developing some of my own technology and circuits. It is one of the mainstays of my life.

I might even add that an important part of my work has been on the effects of music (especially infrasound) on the body.

Mind you, the effects of infrasound can be both POSITIVE (very positive and therapeutic) as well as harmful.

Makes sense, very cool!

People might ask: why tubes? Aren't tubes ancient and obsolete? Actually, tubes are far more musical and better conveyors of music as VALVES, whereas solid state (transistors) operate as SWITCHES and must be forced to operate effectively at musical waveform frequencies.

The only exception to this are very low frequencies (about 80 Hz) below which tubes begin to perform less well while transistors begin to become ideal.

I'm not making this up...

INAUDIBLE INFRASOUND FROM WIND TURBINES DISTURBS HEALTH OF HUMANS AND ALL ORGANISMS

The same is true for other destructive creations promoted as safe—and necessary for human survival due to climate change—but instead contain extremely disruptive unseen risks. We understand wind turbines are enormous and take up massive stretches of natural land and water space. But that’s not all. While positive sound is incredibly healing, wind turbines release an inaudible, low-frequency vibration that is harmful to human health, with chronic exposure leading to severe disturbance of vascular regulation in all living organisms.

Of course, climate change fanatics pushing wind power glorify it as safe.
But not so fast.
A hard pause is in order because wind power is indeed a silent hazard to the human body.
A June 2024 analysis by Dr. Bellut-Staeck underscores earlier research confirming that these gigantic wind turbines—with blades up to 300 feet long—produce increasingly intense infrasound pressure. To explain further, humans can only sense sound waves over an approximate range of between 20 and 20,000 Hertz. The human ear cannot hear any sound waves below 20 Hz. These silent but lethal sound waves are called infrasound. Infrasound emitted naturally, meaning by nature, is of no concern because it is harmless. However—in addition to disrupting wildlife, shredding countless essential insects and birds, and severely hurting the biotope—infrasound from man-made wind turbines is a major cause for concern.

Again, the frequencies they emit are inaudible to humans, but the body feels them.
A 2021 article in the German publication Tichy’s Einblick explained that there are molecular mechanisms by which our body’s cells detect mechanical forces and trigger biochemical processes.

And some of you want to replace as Biden guarantees "I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels” September 06, 2019,

The same dumb pandering Biden is somehow thinking that he has the ability to threaten Russia by intervening in Ukraine/Russian affairs concerning American made long range missles being used by Ukraine in an offensive mode instead of the expected defensive mode ????

It appears to be a final shot across the bow of Donald Trump before he takes his seat as the 47th president maybe....

My hubbie is a musician, loves the old tube amps, definitely not into it at your level though. lol

Whenever discussing one of these issues keep in mind that Democrats are IDIOTS.

So here we have another half baked dumb ass Dem idea, with half baked science being crammed through. Did you know these Dem idiots under Bill Clinton thought they were saving the planet when they BANNED paper grocery bags? OMG the poor defenseless trees that get turned into paper bags we must save them.

So Dems pass laws BANNING paper grocery bags and FORCE everyone to use plastic bags. F'ing morons. Decades later after creating an absolute environmental disaster with their damn plastic bags...you guessed it the dumb asses are now banning plastic bags and forcing us to use paper bags.

I wouldn't hire dumb ass Democrats to mow my lawn. :eusa_hand:

Nice. Tell him you know someone who designed, repaired and built two effects boxes for a famous guitarist. :SMILEW~130:

Musically, the tube amplifier is so far beyond the transistorized amp that it isn't funny.
The only reason why they use transistors in audio amps really is to save money, size and weight. Plus they are more rugged.

I should not say. He was a rock guitarist, dead now, and I once said too much that someone here figured out who he was, so I refrain from saying too much not only because 80% of the eggheads here would not believe me anyway, accuse me of making it up, but also out of respect for his wife who is already going through a lot dissolving his estate. Lastly because he was my good friend and I don't want to see his name smeared irresponsibly by some of the buffoons here who would attack me through him.

Maybe if you PM me I will tell you privately (on condition that what starts in PM must STAY in PM.

Completely understandable in this place. lol
