The economy strengthened under Obama and unemployment dropped to 4.7% before Trump took office. Obama deserves no credit and Trump deserves no credit.
Manufacturing jobs have been coming back to the US since 2010. Companies have found advantages in moving production back to the US.
Wages are growing no faster under Trump than they did under Obama. Companies are poised to use automation to ensure that wages do not rise. The fact is that Republicans have made welfare harder to get as they dismantle the safety net. Is there truly less hunger and less need for food stamps or is there still hunger and people cannot get food stamps. It appears to be the later.
It is hardly BS. Republicans kept and created new tax breaks for the wealthy. The carried interest deduction favors Wall Street and Trump even admitted that during the campaign. It still exists and now you have several more. The pass through rate and a new tax break for real estate trusts.
