This one really cracked me up. Before the debate with Joe Biden, they did mock debates. She kept referring to him as Senator O'Biden. She could not get his name right. Finally they told her to just call him Joe. That's the reason she asked him at the beginning of the debate if she could call him Joe.

But she slipped once during the debate and called him Mr. O'Biden!!! She might as well have been George Bush!!!

I was willing to let that one go though. People develop all kinds of verbal ticks when it comes to names. I teach at the college level and it can take literally all semester to get the pronunciation correct on some student's names. Once you make a mistake like that, it can really stick.

What I was really surprised at is that Steve Schmidt didn't find a way to work with that tick. Run some sort of attack ad against Obama and Biden the day before calling them as a group "O'Biden" and suddenly Palin's verbal tick looks like a planned out political jab.
