Shameless (. . . again)

Shameless is not new but even the second time around it's better than good. In this mid-summer season of supremely shitty television I am taking full advantage of my bonus access to Cablevision's On-Demand and I'm watching back-to-back episodes of Shameless and enjoying it every bit as much as when it was new.

Shameless resides high among the greatest tv comedy ever created. Everything about it is first class but no one can come close to William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher. Macy is Frank Gallagher and he deserves every kind of tv award there is -- and more.

It is truly an American Classic. The only one of the Gallaghers who has yet to disappoint me with bad choices is little Liam. Maybe next season he will get a few lines and become a true Gallagher by fucking up his life.
