People shouldn't stand in their way, if they get the votes, let them get out of the Democrat shit hole. Since Dems constantly whine about red states and cities using the social programs that THEY CREATE, they should be happy to see them go!

Indiana lawmakers advance plan to take counties from Illinois

INDIANA (WTHR and WFIE) - A plan to have several Illinois counties join Indiana has advanced to the Indiana Senate.

House Bill 1008 passed out of the House on Thursday.

It now heads to the Indiana Senate, where it has been sponsored by Sen. Scott Baldwin (R-District 20).

The bill would create a commission of people from Illinois and Indiana to discuss the possibility of Indiana annexing counties from Illinois.

Several Oregon counties want to join Idaho. There have been towns in Vermont that want to join New Hampshire. It's not happening.

Let me count the ways that's not gonna happen.

Illinois is run by the totally corrupt Chicago Democrats.
The rural county citizens are just their tax slaves.

Who died and appointed you dictator? Excuse me dick tater!

Well, in all honesty, it is kind of murky. I have seen arguments from both perspectives in the legality of doing it.

I believe the Trump administration will/would support this, but I am not sure that is the correct answer. We really can not/should not/ or expect our state lines to constantly move as counties or jurisdictions, want to either leave, or join a state. While I feel for these people, I see this as a political disaster.

I am confident, that if the feds put their foot down on farmland use, taxes on farmland, and a few other things, this will go away.

For the rest of the people? Band together, and THROW out the Leftists. You have had GOP governors before, and a couple of them have been as crooked as the Democrats, lol.

But, do I understand their position? Yes! I lived in Illinois until I was 26, and got out of there. At the time.......in my youth.....I thought it was a mistake to leave, and was personally, devastated.

Fast forward! Best mistake I ever made! If you follow politics closely, you have seen what is going on in Dolton Illinois. Yep, I used to live there, and it is where I left from to go to Indiana. How lucky was I!!!!!!!!!!

Point is--------->we can NOT prevent, and should not even try to prevent, people from moving to escape the Left from state to state, but we shouldn't allow them to take their land, county, city, town, with them. If they feel that strongly, then they should either just leave and go elsewhere, or attempt to change the state's political ruling party.

I feel for the people in Illinois; along with seeing JD Pritzker as a fat, very rich, Leftist a**hole. But, you have to be consistent! While I would really like 1/2 of Illinois to turn into Lincoln Land and break free of Illinois, it can not happen. They are going to have to do it the old fashion way, and throw the bums out!

Yes, and Kentucky was never part of Virgina and neither was West Virginia. Tennessee was never part of North Carolina, and Alabama and Mississippi were never part of Georgia. The entire southwest was never part of Mexico. Texas and California were independent countries.

It's a massive undertaking. Both state legislatures would have to approve it, and then the U.S. congress.

Get out of Chicago, Rockford and East St Louis and Illinois is mostly red.
