I like weird TV shows. I've only watched one episode of Servant so far, but it is very promising.

This series ran for four seasons and I only just now have heard of it, which is surprising because its from M. Night Shyamalan and I like his movies.

A taciturn 18-year old girl from the Midwest arrives in Philadelphia at the home of a wealthy couple to serve as the nanny for their infant son.

A few minutes into the first episode, the father demonstrates a shocking hostility toward the baby. But we quickly learn he's the normal one in this picture.

I don't want to spoil the show, so I'll just say the nanny commits to her job 100 percent.

I know. There are a million movies and shows about twisted nannies, but trust me, this one is different.

Best line of S01E01: "You can't take a doll to soccer practice, Sean."

I made a thread about this one when the show came out.
It is a show that is worth paying for a subscription to AppleTV for a month - if only to watch this one show.
A show where you think you know what is going on, proved wrong, think you know again - nope.
Intense, surprising and full of action and plot twists.

Great Series - and I really appreciate the fact the people who made the show refused to make more seasons than what it is, or draw it out to make more seasons - and ruin it in the process.

In my top 10 TV series of all time

Something I find very annoying is that many scenes are so fricking dark, the TV screen is damned near black and I can't see what the hell is going on.

This seems to be a recent fad with a lot of shows and movies.

Are the lighting engineers' wages too high, or what?

Thankfully this is a fad that seems to be going away.
