Seriously, Are Any Dems/Libs Here Embarrassed that Most Dems Would Not Stand to Honor the 13-year-old Boy Battling Cancer During the SOTU?

.

One would think that, if it's true, would make you more sensitive to anyone with cancer.

.

Meh, Cancer is just what kills you when nothing else does.

I can feel bad for this kid, just not bad enough for him that I excuse his parents using him as a human shield while Trump yanks Medicaid and Medicare from people who need it.

Xiden approval rating was 40 percent in Jan of 2025. Not in the high 50s, heck is avg approval rating was 42.2 percent. His policies sucked.

Trump approval rating is very high, the Dems are historically low...and will continue to drop because you hate kids

Trump's below the 50% mark now.

Biden didn't get below 50% until after the Afghanistan debacle.

Yes once he’s policies took hold they dropped bigly.

That’s why Dems have a 21 percent approval rating in Congress today

Folks became woke

Your numbers are horseshit.

Trump is below 50 percent and dropping.

Not as fast as the Dow, though. Heh, heh, heh

are you ashamed of trump and the gop for cutting funding to cancer research?

if not sit down and shut the fuck up
It's a funding freeze fucktard nothing has been cut. You can bet money that a good chunk of that tax payer money isn't going to any science that benefits US citizens.

At least Trump works on his weekends while golfing. He settled the dispute with Columbia in between greens.
If Trump golfed every weekend, he could never come close to the vacation time Biden amassed.
Trump puts in 20 hour days 7 days a week, he earns his vacations.
And if there are 300,000 starving kids, then their families and parent governments ought to be feeding them, or at least helping them grow food, NOT the USA.

Too many Americans have been addicted to your big government, so yes, Trump's popularity will likely be majorly affected for the next four years as that nipple starts drying up more and more. There's going to be a lot of pain, and it could last for many years to come if we stay the course, although likely we will not.

Sort of reminds me of back when the Soviet Union dissolved, there were millions of Soviets that simply did not know what to do and which direction to take because there had been generations of them being instructed by the state, when to work, when to eat, when to piss, etc.

Very unlikely. The government spends three trillion dollars on middle class entitlements that keep middle class white people from becoming poor. Those programs are popular for a reason. Mostly people don't want Nana to die or eat dog food.

I think you have a profound misunderstanding of why the USSR fell. You probably also think Reagan had something to do with it.

I mean, really, how blindly partisan and unfeeling do you have to be to refuse to join Trump in honoring D. J. Daniel, the 13-year-old boy who is battling cancer and who was given honorary Secret Service agent status by Trump during the SOTU address? I'm sure many of us have seen the viral videos of congressional Dems sitting, and even frowning and shaking their heads, during the standing ovation given to the young boy. Unreal.

I'm glad that some Democrats, such as Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), have condemned the disgraceful conduct of their fellow congressional Dems. Fetterman called it "unhinged petulance." Imagine if Republicans had refused to stand to honor a 13-year-old girl battling cancer who was honored by Biden with honorary teacher status in a SOTU address? I would join with Dems in condemning such rude, extreme partisan conduct.

Are there are Dems/liberals here who are willing to condemn this sorry display of extreme partisanship? Just one?

Rabid partisans such as Rachel Maddow actually criticized the honoring of D.J. Daniel.

Roll out the cancer boy!

Appeal to Emotion Fallacy

If that boy is on Medicaid, which he most likely is, he's fucked.

Cutting Medicaid?

Republican leaders in Congress have directed the committee that oversees Medicaid to cut $880 billion from the next budget.

According to a poll you pulled out of your ass?

Uh, guy, you only won by 1.48% of the vote. And I'm sure exactly that number is regretting it now.
Those polls are accurate no matter how much you lie, whine and cry about it moron. 312 > 226 by 86 points, not 1.48%. Learn how the President gets elected in this country. Seems it's (as usual) YOUR numbers that were pulled out of your ass. Your precious Dems looked like your jackass mascot and people won't forget how disgusting YOUR party was that night.

Yes they are popular, because they have been in place for so long that people are trained to accept handouts, and naturally when you offer free shit to people, they will take them and not bother to look for alternate ways to succeed.

As for the Soviet Union, while Reagan ran on upending them, they fell for multiple reasons, mostly due to the fact that 80% of the people lived in poverty, while the rest lived in luxury. Once they lost control of the narrative coming from their news sources, along with the economic disaster of their war in Afghanistan, it was only a matter of time, and Reagan likely hurried their demise up by building up our military which they could no longer match economically.
At the end of the day though, they would have gone down regardless of Reagan.

He was a prop.

Right after doge cut his cancer research.

Actually, we spend far more on handouts to the Middle Class (Close to 3 Trillion) than we do on poverty relief to the poor (less than half a trillion).

As for the Soviet Union, while Reagan ran on upending them, they fell for multiple reasons, mostly due to the fact that 80% of the people lived in poverty, while the rest lived in luxury.

Wow, so by that logic, the US is probably doomed, because 60% of us live in poverty.

Once they lost control of the narrative coming from their news sources, along with the economic disaster of their war in Afghanistan, it was only a matter of time, and Reagan likely hurried their demise up by building up our military which they could no longer match economically.

Wow, so wrong on everything.

Here's why the USSR fell. Same reason the British Empire fell. Eventually, it's constituent nations wanted independence and thought they could do better on their own.
