Sen. Elissa Slotkin receives bomb threat after urging military to 'refuse illegal orders'

‘Michigan State Police responded to a bomb threat at the home of Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., a spokesperson from her office said in a statement on Friday. The threat comes after President Donald Trump accused her and other Democratic lawmakers of "seditious behavior" that was "punishable by death."

In a statement posted to X, a spokesperson from Slotkin's office said that the senator "wasn’t home at the time" and that Michigan State Police "searched the property and confirmed that no one was in danger." Slotkin's office and Michigan State Police did not immediately respond to requests for further details on the incident.

The bomb threat comes after Slotkin, who previously worked at the CIA, and several other Democratic lawmakers, including those who are former service members, had posted a video this week urging military and intelligence officers to "refuse illegal orders" from the Trump administration.

Trump on Thursday had responded to the video by calling for the arrest of Slotkin and others for “seditious behavior,” which he said was “punishable by death.”’

It’s perfectly lawful and appropriate for the military to refuse Trump’s illegal orders.

And Trump represents the violent, lawless right well, calling for the death of his political opponents.
Wasn't tRump one of the ones screeching about "violent rhetoric" after that MAGA-spawn took out Kirk?

Let’s see. I seem to remember Smollet and a few other actors trying to claim they were attacked. Would not put it passed another idiot to make the same claim.
Especially since they were involved in sedition and had no real reason other then they were just crazy.

The President is literally trying to have opponents killed now.

Trump is deranged and is going to get someone killed one of these days with his careless but deliberately antagonizing rhetoric.

As a side note, phoning in bomb threats appears to be the MO for Trump's sycophants, they did the same thing after C Kirk was shot & killed, targeting HBCUs even though Black people didn't have anything to do with anything involving his murder.

I tend to stay away from the darker sites these days but I would imagine that there is information there to be had, if only one goes looking.

I saw the video from the members of Congress, and I saw Slotkin’s response after Trump called them “seditious” and said sedition is punishable by death.

Are you all really arguing that what they said is legally wrong—that while Trump can claim immunity, the people who follow his unlawful orders somehow share that immunity too? Because that’s simply not how it works.

If someone chooses to carry out an illegal order, they are on the hook. “I was just following orders” is not a magic get-out-of-jail-free card when you know, or should know, that what you’re doing is unlawful.

They’re not committing sedition by saying that. They’re warning people not to throw away their lives and freedom on crimes someone else is telling them to commit.

This need to defend everything he does, no matter how wrong, ignorant, baseless, or flat-out absurd, is beyond tiresome.

The same people who are trying to convince people it was Slotkin or democrats that called in a bomb threat also claim J6th and the Epstein files are a hoax.

NOTHING is EVER, THEIR fault.

What they said is legally wrong. Particularly given that liberal activist judges have already been overruled numerous times on things they claim were 'illegal'. This is sedition, plain and simple. Prosecute, convict, and then execute and it won't happen again.
