Scott Pruitt is an excellent choice for the EPA. In addition to a powerful array of parasites feeding on climate change fraud that Pruitt is up against, in addition to Congress with no desire to expose the United Nations, I decided to gather up a bunch of excerpts from previous threads for anyone who is interested in knowing why I think Pruitt will be pissing into the wind:
President Reagan along with countless others wanted to eliminate the Department of Education. Any time that is tried the parasites in the education industry trot out the children. Eliminating the EPA will be infinitely more difficult because of the tremendous political influence the United Nations exerts in this country. Few Americans realize that the EPA and the Department of Education join forces whenever either one is threatened with extinction or budget cuts.
If any corporation or individual violates a so-called environmental law they should be arrested and get their day in court as the Constitution guarantees. The EPA should not have the authority to tax anyone.
Back in 2010 EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson announced that she would tax industries to enforce the Clean Air Act. The question is: Where does a bureaucrat get the authority to tax anyone? Certainly not from the Constitution. No police chief in this country can go to a local business, or an individual, suspected of breaking a law and impose a tax. Yet Jackson is doing just that. No arrests for breaking the law, no day in court for the accused, just the EPA —— in the person of Lisa P. Jackson —— ordering a private business to pay a tax. I will not be surprised if some of those tax dollars find their way to the United Nations in a backdoor approach to giving the UN taxing authority over the American people.
The only good thing about the EPA is that a constitutional amendment is not required to shut it down.
Congress can simply amend the Clean Air Act and forbid the EPA from regulating CO2. The next election is in November 2014, and there is a possibility that both House and Senate would vote for such an amendment in 2015.
But then again, with Obama still in the White House such an amendment can be vetoed. However, there is always the possibility that a veto can be overridden so that some sort of political accommodation between the Congress and the President may result.
Presidential powers have expanded through the EPA to the point of ignoring the court:
Last month, a federal court dealt a serious blow to the Environmental Protection Agency's renewable fuels push by ruling that the agency exceeded its authority by mandating refiners use cellulosic biofuels, which aren't commercially available. The EPA's lawless response in a lawless administration was to raise its requirements.
In 2005 and 2007, Congress twice amended the Clean Air Act to establish a renewable fuel standard (RFS) that included a mandate to use cellulosic biofuels.
If refiners failed to meet the goals, the EPA could fine them. The RFS set ambitious goals for cellulosic biofuels but at least charged the EPA with reducing the requirement if production was lower than the mandate.
This the EPA simply ignored, issuing fines for failing to use this biofuel when it wasn't even available.
The worst of it is that the EPA does the dirty work for the United Nations.
The fact is: Americans get screwed every time politicians pass laws. Ask yourself how much the public knew about what was in every law that built the welfare state before those laws were passed? How many Americans knew the Clean Air Act would lead to the creation of the EPA? —— a United Nations agency. How many Americans knew that the first amnesty was paving the way for today’s 20 million illegal aliens?
Sad to say, climate change fraud has been around for decades, but it never seems to become a major issue in presidential elections. Having failed to sell global warming as a threat to mankind, Taqiyya the Liar, and douche bag John Kerry, are claiming that global warming is the biggest threat to national security. No matter. Perhaps this is enough to turn a neglected issue into an all-out push to end the scams. Public understanding of the issue might even result in repealing the Clean Air Act. (Repeal the Clean Air Act and the EPA is history.)
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Monday underscored the unprecedented number of lawsuits opposing the Clean Power Plan "as an aggressive restructuring" of the U.S. energy system, overstepping the agency's authority under the Clean Air Act.
The Clean Air Act tells Americans what they must do. Repeal the Clean Air Act and the EPA goes down the toilet along with along 95 percent of so-called “affirmative rights.” The lying sack of shit calls them positive Rights; i.e., Rights that must paid for by somebody else; while negative Rights are free.
Repeal both the Affordable Care Act and the Clean Air Act and that should see the end of affirmative rights until a future generation of parasites comes up with a new angle. U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken gave a free people the best reason they will have to repeal the Clean Air Act:
A liberal federal district judge held on Nov. 10 that teenagers have a fundamental right to a “stable environment” and can sue for a court order to change the level of carbon emissions that humans emit into the atmosphere.
The Constitution says nothing about a fundamental right to any sort of environment—“stable” or otherwise. Constitutional rights are given as a charter of “negative liberties”—a series of “thou shalt nots,” such as saying the government shall not take away free speech, or shall not infringe religious liberty, or shall not ban gun ownership.
The concept of “affirmative rights”—that the government owes a person healthcare, or housing, or here, a particular type of environment—has been a wish list for political liberals that the courts have never embraced.
