Scott Brown bags the Tea Party

it saaaaaaaaaaays "everybody"

no. What it says is that brown disagrees with the assumption that the tea party movement was influnential.

he won by about 150,000 votes if memory serves ( imay be off, but it was at least 100k).

There are about 7000 tea party members in mass.

There are 6,628 green/rainbow party members in mass.

There are 2,141,878 unenrolled voters in mass.

There are 1,559,464 democratic voters in mass.

There are 490,259 republican voters in mass.

Do the math.

Excellent point,

except, my avie is not dishonest. My point was the truth. And, I'm not a Republican.

What level of mental retardation do you actually qualify for?

...and under the bus goes the bag!

From his interview with Barbara Walters, talking about the election:

WALTERS: The Tea Party movement was important to your victory. How influential do you think the Tea Party movement is going to be?

BROWN: Well, you're making an assumption that the Tea Party movement was influential, and I have to respectfully disagree. It was everybody.

Nice try--:lol: While I am certain that Scott Brown was supported by the couple of hundred tea partiers in MASS--this election spelled the worst--as Scott Brown stated. IT WAS EVERYONE. For you that means DEMOCRATS were voting for him, along with INDEPENDANTS--who btw represent the bulk of the tea party movement in this country.

And like they say--"If you're a democrat & you can't win in MASS.--you can't win ANYWHERE--:lol::lol:

$Ram it down.webp

So.....if my math is correct, the Tea Partiers didn't stand a chance of influencing anything in MA, as their numbers are simply too insignificant?

would depend on how close an election was

this one was not close enough for it to have been a deciding factor

That is the answer I come away with too. So....if Brown was not throwing the Tea Party "movement" under the bus, he was, at least, putting their minimal impact into perspective?

The full statement is here:
WALTERS: The Tea Party movement was important to your victory. How influential do you think the Tea Party movement is going to be?

BROWN: Well, you're making an assumption that the Tea Party movement was influential, and I have to respectfully disagree. It was everybody. I had a plurality...

WALTERS: But it was part of it.

BROWN: Of course, it was.
Of course it was (influential). That is throwing the Tea Party under the bus?

I'll wait to see how he votes. In the meantime, he stopped the worst piece of legislation in the history of the republic. For that I am grateful.....

For the record, you'll find that the OP is a disingenuous ****** and constantly plays games like this...

If there were a superhero named "Out Of Context Man", his secret identity would be blown....

Does this surprise ANYONE? Scott threw the TEA Party under the bus BEFORE the election...

He never used the word Republican in any ad during his election either. I wonder why.

Oh and his stance on gay rights and abortion cracks me up. Oh yeah. He is a republican alrighty....

The only ones Brown bagged, was the Progressive-Democrat party lead by the Obama, and the slimy Kennedy clan who believed that seat belonged to them..

way to go Brown and people of Massachusetts, you showed them.:clap2:

And your point is???? The tea party is the new demon as far as the left is concerned. The lefties just don't get it and they don't know what's headed their way.

Only 12% of the populace in MASS is Republican--& this is why MASS was a MONSTER loss for the democrat party--meaning that registered democrats & independants who have been running from Obama for months now--did a 180 degree turn from supporting Obama in the Presidential election--in very short order.

The writing is on the wall for this congress & administration.

Coming November 2010--a 300' Tsunami is going to roll through the congress & senate washing out liberal democrats right to the unemployment line. I suspect that 2012 will be another wash-out of Barack Obama--much like Reagan/Carter.

Now up to 12 trillion.

he's right.

keep telling yourself otherwise, though.

LOL! NYC doesn't understand understatements.

I understand that when someone says someone wasn't influential, they mean they weren't influential.

It is clear that he is, as I said multiple times before, keeping the Tea Party loons at arm's length.
