That's why it should be a choice, no one should be forced into any sort of socialist program.
If our system worked there would never have been an ACA and the Heritage Founation would never have needed, in response to "Hilarycare", to come up with the plan than later morhped into "Obamacare". So unless someone is at long last going to get around to fashioning something that works for all of society, we will not be globally competitive and you will have to keep repeating your anti-socialism memes as quickly and loudly as you can. That's just reality, sorry. Other societies have had to face this, and so shall we. "Socialism sucks" is no solution. If the power structure continues to ignore the plight of the unsubstantial people, then a "socialist" approach will come around again, something will get floated again. What those still clinging to the meme that american "capitalism" works in the healthcare arena would be well advised to do is come up with a solution that serves the entire society, not just a few at the top.
We don't mind socialism in america, we just don't it like of for average citizens. Same with govt healthcare. But one party has it all at the moment, and they'd better come up with something. But they won't, watch. And yeah, you're absolutely correct, the dems won't either. So if what passes these days for "capitalism" in america is not broadened to include more, at some point folks will take another look at a socialist approach.
