You might not know this, but Trump in his first term instituted an EO that withheld funds from colleges that allowed antisemitism to fester, and he wanted to make it permanent legislation. The Republicans were all for it, but the Dems were opposed on the basis that it would be “offensive to Muslims,” and it never made it out of Committee.

Think of it: Democrats would prefer to see Jews assaulted on campus than to allow Muslims’ feelings to be hurt.
