I believe it is wrong to put a cat in a sealed box, where the cat's life or death is dependent on the state of a subatomic particle.

That's just cruel even if the cat is both alive and dead until you open the box.

Such experiments should only be done on undergraduate physics students. (and preferably only those who vote Republican, too)
