Adam Schiff speaking in the senate:

What does it mean to be a nation of laws, and is it still true in America in the era of Trump.
Are we a nation of laws, on characterized by a legal code that applies equal to every citizen?
A justice system in which no one is above the law or beyond its reach, in which there is not on law for the rich and powerful and yet another for everyone else?
or have we become a nation of men in which the law must bend to the will of its most powerful citizens?
A society in which wealth and privilege mean that the need not apply to them, and with the same force which it applies to others, or not at all.
Four years ago, after losing his reelection campaign, Donald Trump conspired to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power and incited a violent attack on thecapital.
He also withheld highly classified material and obstructed an investigation into that offense.
In what can be seen as a vindication of the rule of law, Donald Trump was indicted for these crimes.
But system of justice bound by the rule of law requires not only the charging decisions be made against people similarly situated, without preference or disfavor according to their position, but that the conduct of those prosecutions likewise be timely and appropriate.
In this our justice system failed miserably.
Trump was able to seek endless delays in court and the courts, understanding that motivation, mindful of the fact that justice delayed can mean justice denied, willfully delayed the prosecution of Donald Trump until he could avoid a reckoning with justice altogether.

Comment:
Adam Schiff is the last person who should be preaching to us about the rule of law.
The House of Representatives censured Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., for pushing false claims that former President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Russia.
Schiff is just the third member of the House to be censured since the turn of the century.
Schiff is still attempting to push the crazy radical left conspiracy theory that Trump lead an insurrection.

What does the rule of law have to do with pushing “false claims”?

Schiff is just an annoyance

I don't believe that Schiff ever claimed that Trump caused the Russian invasion.

That he supports it, and is Putin's poodle is a matter of record.

Schiff made up a fake "whistleblower" so he could tromp all over the Constitution and bring a fake impeachment against Trump. He should have been removed from office long ago.

Right wing lies don't become true by repetition. I know repetition works on weak minds.

But there is no question that Trump officials (including his Russian asset campaign manager) coordinated their work with Russians and their troll farms throughout the 2016 campaign.

Now, explain what Russian intelligence officials were doing when they were meeting with Trump campaign officials in their headquarters in the middle of an election.

There is nothing normal or acceptable about that.

Had it become public knowledge when it happened, it may have doomed Trump's campaign.

Prove that Schieff made up a fake whistleblower.

Or admit you made it up (yes, you did).

Schiff is a grade A asshole.

What dimocrap scum always do is, they always have at least one wild man, one idiot, one loud-mouth that screams and shouts, breaks the law to get his/her point across and then defies us to do anything about it. If we do, they scream "Retaliation!"

In that way, they insulate themselves from prosecution and investigation. People like Schiff and Titty-Caca could rob a bank and when they are caught, scream 'Retaliation!' and probably get away with it.

Even the pure pervert Anthony the Weiner almost got away with being a disgusting pervert because he was the dimocrap scum designated Attack Pit Yorkie.

It is an esteemed position in the dimocrap scum party..... Their designated attack Yorkie.

For a while it was Titty-Caca, Ilhan Bromar tried and failed, now it seems that Schitf is going for the mantle.

The DISGUSTING FILTH will determine who wins it. They always do. They're like the Schutzstaffel of the dimocrap scum party. The dimocrap scum party's Body guards. An independent arm of the dimocrap scum/socialist party

And just like that I'm back to Democrats have no shame or remorse. They are completely unphased by blatant hypocrisy and double standards. Do as I say not as I do is their party motto.
