I've always wondered the fine line between a normal pitch and a balk. It seems like a travel/charge in basketball, or offsides in hockey/soccer, in that "You know it when you see it". However, it's left up to much discretion by the refs/umpires.

Did you see that guy balk three times in one inning a few days ago? LOL I dunno I used to pitch, it's ;not that hard to come set. Seems pretty obvious to me.
