A Sacramento woman gets ripped off by a contractor. The addition was never finished and the contractor skipped town.
Her house ended up in receivership and her option to gain back her property was to tear the house down. The community gets involved and the local contractor's council stepped up with the demolition, for free.
Donations are coming in to rebuild.

That is why you never give them money down.

There are thousands of fly-by-night contractors out there.

Typically, in this type of scam they will get a naive homeowner to agree to pay half the money down when they start the job and the other half when they complete the job.

They will start the job to get a down payment, and as soon as they cash that check you will never see them again.

A reputable contractor will have no problem with just taking the full payment upon completion of the job to your satisfaction.

I'm not about to log on to a "raw vid" but something doesn't seem right about the issue for a ton of reasons. Does the poster have the skill to splain the typical post and run junk?
