Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Thursday that the State Department has revoked more than 300 student visas, as the Trump administration continues to detain and deport pro-Palestinian student activists at universities across the country.

The wave of revocations is part of a larger push by the Trump administration to punish its perceived enemies or critics and crack down on higher education institutions that the president has lambasted as bastions of liberalism for years.

“Every time I find one of these lunatics I take away their visa,” Rubio told reporters at a press conference in Guyana. “Might be more than 300 at this point. Might be more. We do it every day.”

Rubio’s disclosure of hundreds of visas being pulled came as he responded to questions on Rumeysa Ozturk, a Tufts University doctoral student and Fulbright scholar from Turkey who had her student visa revoked this week. A viral video reposted online by officials from the State Department showed Ozturk — who cowrote an op-ed in a student newspaper criticizing Tufts’ response to the protests — being detained on the street by plainclothes Immigration and Customs Enforcement near the Tufts campus.

If you're here to teach or learn, then teach or learn.

If you're here to start trouble, bye, the US does not need you.

They are guest in this country and should act accordingly.

They need to revoke all Chinese national student visas next. Academia would crumble in a year without the chi-com money.

Islam is incompatible with Western culture and philosophy and religion and, especially, democratic governance.

Doubly-so for Militant Islam (and it's getting to the point where Westerners often ask: "Is there any other kind?" ).

Europe has already made the mistake of admitting far too many vipers into its midst and risks losing its identity.

No point in us following them over the cliff.

But the previous Administration made the mistake of allowing that poison to spread, requiring a strong antidote.

Including the halting of Muslim-initiated and facilitated campus demonstrations supporting Hamas and inciting Jew-hate.

The Law gives us a great deal of leverage in dealing with those fomenters and inciters if they're here on student visas.

All that was ever needed along these lines was a sane Administration with the ball$ to stand-up to these Islamist shills.

And we have that now... at long-last...

I disagree with multiple policies and acts of the present Administration but in THIS regard they're smack-dab on-target. :113:

Yeah, the Constitution is no longer a priority for them.

They were just kidding about that.
Where does the Constitution protect your right to riot and trespass on the property of others?

So visas are being revoked based on people exercising free speech rights?

Show us how many of those 300 rioted or trespassed

Where does the Constitution protect your right to riot and trespass on the property of others?
The fact that the Founders and company did riot, tresspass, and tar a feather is good enough fer me, and that goes fer the smuggling that founded this nation, and the Boston Tea Party.
