75% of Americans have said they will not vote for Trump. That leaves Biden and minor third party candidates. DJT will be 79 next year, JB will be 82. Voters will choose Biden.

Well, if you're premise for a speech being "good" or "bad" is to be truthful or not; you're right.
That isn't the goal of much political speeches made to the base. Those idiots who shoe-horn themselves into a corral to hear the blob speak are not there to hear the truth--while providing an apt example of who they are by mirroring the actions of livestock waiting to be fed their slop. Those guys crack me up. They know the truth--that Trump is a con man and that he lost the 2020 election..... They just want to hear the other side of the "argument"--which is it's own sad commentary on their lives. This is why his support only extends to the people who show up for the rallies and the dwindling few who aren't tired of the shit-show he brought to the national stage.
As a liberal, I certainly hope they nominate Trump.
As for DeSantis, he's finding out how hard it is to be the face of a government and, at the same time, trying to portray himself as an outsider. Ya know, the GOP has unwittingly injured a great many of their would-be Presidential nominees with their nationalizing of every election. School boards are now partisan affairs! Folks like DeSantis and Noem (sp?) and Haley can no longer say, "I'm not a career politician" or "I'm an outsider" when their media has been talking about the elected officials for years. "W" was good at doing it (you'll remember he was the governor of Texas) but he had 8 years of Clinton and Clinton fatigue was on the ballot. And won by less than 600 votes in Florida thanks to a butterfly ballot in one county.
Still incredible how history turned on the actions of one Democratic Party official not objecting to a ballot. If WPBC didn't have that ballot, Buchanan wouldn't have gotten as many votes as he did, Gore would have gotten most of those, won Florida and the election and we would have never gone into Iraq. Boggles the mind to think about the small decisions that lead to horrifying outcomes.
