Rodney Dangerfield

I used to enjoy Rodney Dangerfield on the mp3 player during long bus trips. Always allowed me to enjoy the journey.

He never got no respect, you know ?

Much like Don Knotts, Rodney's persona and humor were really a spin off from their very unhappy childhoods with very difficult fathers.
In the documentary about him, they talk about how he worked his ass off into his 40's before making it in show biz or stand up. Sold aluminum siding and different things.....44 when he got his first break on the Ed Sullivan show, he was still selling aluminum siding at the time.

Not sure if this is the same one I saw, but it's about an hour and a half long. ff to 32:00

Rodney debates a liberal professor when he goes back to school.

That one is my favorite Rodney Dangerfield movie. It was hilarious from start to finish. imho, of course.

Mine too. Some parts where you have to overlook the poor writing or directing and bad acting, but every scene Rodney was in was funny.
