Robert E Lee

Lee was an officer and a gentleman, in the truest sense. He was also brilliant commander who nearly led an inferior army to victory against all odds.

Political correctness and history rewritten changes nothing.
He was indeed all that you say. HE was also a traitor.

Why do you want to honor a man who was responsible for the intentional deaths of thousands of American Army troops?
And yet we have a very large memorial to Abraham Lincoln in DC, a man that knew blacks were inferior and two slave owners and two slave owners about a mile away.

Wrong comparison dude.

During that time anyone that can afford slaves have slaves that includes rich blacks or Abraham Lincoln.

Gen. Robert Lee wants to legitimize slavery even after the civil war. That blacks do not have rights and only white power. Purely racism, bigotry and hatred. That's the difference dude.

Let's say as an example your great grand parents, uncles, cousins were brutalized, rapes and keep raping, molesting kids or murdered some just for fun. Here's Gen. Lee fighting to make sure slavery is a law and killed thousands of soldiers who are fighting against slavery, racism and bigotry. You go to a park or school you see these monuments or pictures right at your face. How do you feel?

If you are a supporter or a member of KKK, NAZIS, White Supremacist, Alt Right or other hate groups ------ Then Gen. Lee is your god.

Racism must be STOP and should be STOP NOW.
You are one sick puppy. You still don't get why the left lost. Keep spewing ignorant and hateful BS. People notice.

Election is over meathead. Now reality are sinking in.

And tell me where my post are BS and ignorance? Truth hurts.

'nearly led an inferior army to victory'- against the troops of the United States- killing American soldiers.

Honor who you wish- but don't forget that Robert E. Lee was directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of American Army soldiers.
The South did not attack the North. The North initiated the war. It's akin to blaming Washington for fighting against England in a very real sense.
Bad comparison. The British didn't start that war with shots fired.

The first shots fired were in South Carolina. There were no casualties. Lincoln started a war that killed more American than all America's other wars combined.

The War of Northern Aggression, eh?

Is there an argument against this?

Well Robert E. Lee did lead troops that killed American soldiers.

We generally frown upon people who intentionally kill American soldiers- not honor them.

And he went to war against the United States .. criminal.

I'd take him over you any day of the year.

I guess you prefer people who kill American soldiers.

You heading to join ISIS soon?

It would seem that American Soldiers were trying to kill them too.

Let's be very clear....the North started it.

So, should I come across ISIS, I'll let them know you are looking for opportunities in their bullshit propaganda department.

Assholes like you honor the like of Bradly Manning or whatever the fuck his/her name is now and Berdahl. Oh yeah, and the Beast for her bravery in the face of sniper fire in Bosnia.

Well I haven't honored Manning or Berdahl or suggested a statue going up for them- of course neither of them killed American troops like Robert E. Lee did.

Why do you want to honor a man who was responsible for the intentional deaths of thousands of American Army troops?

Yeah....self defense is just overrated.

One could say Bill Clinton was a traitor for allowing China our missile targeting technology. Previously to that, they had been trying to steal it.

But you know, as Americans we often give people passes and let bygones be bygones.

Did the North start the war when it 'forced' the Confederate slave states to secede?

Or did the North start the war when it 'forced' Confederate forces to fire on American troops at Fort Sumter?

Treason. Look it up.

The South fired the very first shots of the war. The South initiated it all with its unconstitional attempt to split up the United States.

And t Robert E. Lee was directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of American Army soldiers.

When are you going to be raising your statue to the men who committed the attack on 9/11?

and part of the issue is looking at how much it is worth to attack every symbol of the south,

'every symbol of the south'?

Is every symbol of the south just coincidentally connected with the Confederate states that tried to secede to preserve slavery?

No one is trying to tear down the Old Slave Market in Charleston, SC.

Of course there is a Republican who has proposed tearing down a monument to African Americans in the South......

The first shots were fired by Confederate troops on American soldiers based in an American fort in Charleston harbor. There were no casualties form the attack- but not from lack of trying by the Confederate forces who fired 3,000 cannon shots at Fort Sumter.

Because of course- Lincoln forced the Confederacy to fire on American troops.....

We should be thankful that ignorant, politically correct psychopaths who demand removal of statues of confederate soldiers do not demand the removal of all trees! Or every piece of art, poetry, song with the image of or word "noose" in it! :p
